Our process

Our Cashew Processing Journey

From raw nut to sealed carton

Step 1

Procurement from Farmers

Sourced directly from farmers and local aggregators, sampled and lot marked at intake.

Step 2

Drying & Importing

Sun dried to bring the raw nut to the correct moisture level, then transported from collection centres to the factory under controlled conditions.

Step 3

Storage

Held in ventilated warehouses to preserve quality ahead of processing.

Step 4

Deshelling

Shelled to separate the kernel from its outer casing.

Step 5

Borma & Cooling

Heat treated in the borma to loosen the kernel skin, then brought down to room temperature before handling.

Step 6

Peeling

Testa removed by hand to reveal the clean white kernel.

Step 7

Sorting

Separated by size, colour and condition.

Step 8

Grading

Classified against standard grade specifications.

Step 9

Quality Inspection

Checked against reference samples for consistency and defect free kernels.

Step 10

Packing

Vacuum sealed and packed to preserve freshness.

Step 11

Exporting

Dispatched to retail and export partners across markets.

Reading a Grade Code

W stands for White, Whole: unbroken, clean and pale. The number is the count per pound. Lower number, larger kernel.
