Lourdes Matha Cashew Industries was founded with a singular purpose — to bring the finest cashews from Kerala's rich coastal groves to buyers around the world.
Kerala has long been celebrated as one of India's premier cashew-producing regions. The combination of coastal climate, fertile red laterite soil, and generations of farming expertise creates cashew kernels of exceptional size, flavour, and consistency.
We have built our business on direct relationships with local farmers and a deep understanding of the cashew value chain — from procurement at source to precision processing and seamless export.

Our Processing Journey

Raw Nut Procurement
We source raw cashew nuts directly from trusted farmers across Kerala's cashew belt, ensuring traceability and consistent raw material quality.

Steam Treatment
Raw nuts are steam-treated to loosen the shell and neutralise the caustic shell liquid — a critical step for safe, efficient shelling.

Shelling & Peeling
Skilled workers shell and peel each nut with care. The testa (skin) is removed to reveal the clean, ivory-white kernel.

Grading & Sorting
Kernels are graded by size and quality into international grades — W180 through W450, splits, butts, and pieces — using both manual and mechanical sorting.

Quality Inspection
Every batch undergoes rigorous quality checks for moisture, colour, size uniformity, and freedom from defects before packing.

Packing & Export
Vacuum-sealed in poly-lined cartons or airtight tins. Complete export documentation prepared — phytosanitary, APEDA, certificate of origin.
